Johanna Glaza is a Lithuanian born London-based artist who’s been intriguing critics and fans alike since her debut as front woman of cult alt-band Joanna and The Wolf. On leaving them in 2011 Johanna moved to New York, and began concentrating on her solo work. She started winning critical acclaim with the release of her first EP, Silence is Kind in late 2013, followed by another equally lauded EP, Letter to New York the following year. Her last release was the beautiful single, Paper Widow in December 2014, which Clash concluded was “another glimpse of songwriting coming into full bloom…” With her bewitching voice and engaging melodies Johanna is a unique and captivating performer whose baroque folk songs seethe with character and mystery.
